How is baggage linear size worked out (L+W+H).
As you can see in our table for baggage allowance to the right Air Canada limits hand luggage to 118cm linear dimensions. What does this mean? The 118 comes from the length, width and height of the bag added together - the total is refered to as the luggage's linear size - Please note: Although each airline has a maximum size for each of the dimensions of the baggage - in this case ( 55 cm x 40 cm x 23 cm ) the emphasis is on total linear size (check directly with your airline for piece-of-mind).
